Winter can be an exciting season for you and your furry friend, but it also…
Dog Training For All Types Of Dog Breeds And Needs
Did you know that puppies begin learning as soon as they’re born and are ready to start basic training as early as 3-4 weeks of age? While weeks 8 to 16 are the most crucial for socializing and confidence building, at Paw Oasis Pet Resort, we believe that it is never too early to set a solid foundation for your pup! By beginning training early, you can prevent problem behaviors such as pulling on leash, using the restroom in the house, play biting, and more. This is exactly what our puppy program was created for!
Regardless of the age you start with your pup, training should fit into your life, not the other way around. We are committed to assisting pet parents through the entire process of selecting the right program for you AND your pup. We offer training for ages ranging from puppy to senior including behavior modification, basic obedience, off-leash training, and more. Paw Oasis can also provide training for specific tasks such as professional sports or even service dogs!
At Paw Oasis, our training style is balanced and relationship-based with a focus on positive reinforcement training. Our goal is to teach dog owners how to understand and interact with their dogs daily, helping prevent and intervene on behavioral issues. Obedience training is a component of many of our programs, but obedience training alone does not create a balanced and happy dog. Our holistic approach to training comes from achieving balance through fulfillment in addition to traditional dog training and behavior modification techniques. Your dog’s days here will include working with us on formal training, socializing with other dogs, eating meals, going on walks, and much more! To us, each of these events is important for training success. We aim to create a more calm, confident, and respectful relationship between you and your dog. That goes miles above most obedience-only programs!
The following dog training programs are available to you, among others:
Day School
Similar to daycare, your dog attends training daily in our facility and goes home with you at the end of the day! A day school allows your dog to get one-on-one training with a professional (similar to a board and train) while also allowing you to enjoy your pup at night. While results may not be as strong as with a board and train, a day school allows your dog to get started on their training with little effect on your busy schedule. In addition, ALL of our programs include hands-on instruction for you, the human. Once the program is complete, we teach you how to maintain your dog’s training with you and at home!
Board and Train
Allow us to set the foundation for your dog’s training in our facility while also boarding with us overnight! Board and train programs provide the strongest result possible out of all of our programs as they allow us to set new habits with your dog that you can then maintain with a fresh slate as they transition back to your home. In addition, ALL of our programs include hands-on instruction for you, the human. Once the program is complete, we teach you how to maintain your dog’s training with you and at home!
Puppy Training & The Forever Puppy Program
Our trainers know that every dog and puppy are unique. That’s why every puppy program not only includes training but also a personalized training plan that fits your needs. In addition to training, every program includes free consultations with your trainer over common puppy nuisance behaviors; nipping, jumping, potty training, and more! Our puppy programs help establish socialization with other dogs, build a strong training foundation, and stop bad behaviors. We guide you through the critical first few months of your dog’s life and teach you the necessary skills to help your relationship start on the right foot.
In addition to normal puppy training programs, we also offer our Forever Puppy Program! Our Forever Puppy program is a unique program that takes your young dog from puppy training through to adult dog training! Designed to grow with your puppy’s development stages, this program is perfect for the person who wants to set their puppy up for success and have an exceptionally trained dog by the time they reach young adulthood! This program is also great for those who want to spread out the cost, as each segment of training can be paid piecemeal!
Private Lessons
Private lessons allow you to learn how to train your dog with the guidance of a professional. With our private lessons, we work one-on-one with you to teach you how to achieve the goals you have for your dog. While it may require more commitment from you, the owner, it gets you involved in your dog’s training from the jump!
Aggressive/Reactive Rehabilitation
If you’ve ever owned a reactive dog before, you know firsthand how hard it is. It’s not just the reactions themselves that are the problem, but the amount of anxiety, embarrassment, and frustration we feel when we’re trying to mitigate the issue and nothing is working. Not only do we have lots of experience working with reactive dogs, but our trainers have been in your shoes before. We have been frustrated, confused, and embarrassed of our reactive dogs before and
that’s part of the reason we are passionate about helping you! With reactive/aggressive rehabilitation, each program is very unique. That’s why the best way to get started is to set up a call with our head trainer!
