Meet Our Dog Trainer
Cassandra started working with dogs as a young girl when her family decided to open a rescue out of her home after losing their family dog to breed discrimination.
Always passionate about working with animals, she continued her rescue efforts throughout her life by volunteering in shelters and learning from experts in the field about the handling and training of dogs and cats.
After several years of apprenticeships in dog training, working for dog training companies, and serving as the operations and training director of a large scale dog rescue for four years, she joined the Paw Oasis team. Today, her mission is to empower owners with the confidence to improve the relationship with their dogs through education, training, and behavior modification.
Cassandra is a certified AKC Evaluator & Instructor, and is a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. She has experience training with an array of different cases including but not limited to service dogs, aggressive dogs, and professional sports dogs.
Our Training Approach
Our training style is balanced and relationship-based with a focus on positive reinforcement training. Our goal is to teach dog owners how to interact with their dogs daily, helping prevent and intervene in behavioral issues. Obedience training is a component of many of our programs, but obedience training alone does not create a balanced and happy dog. Our approach to training comes from achieving balance through fulfillment and traditional dog training and behavioral modification techniques. Your dogs spend time daily working with us on formal training and socializing with other dogs, eating meals, going on walks, etc. We aim to create a more calm, confident, and respectful relationship between you and your dog.
